Avernus, was an ancient name for a volcanic crater near Cumae (Cuma), Italy, in the region of Campania, believed to be, in Roman mythology, the entrance to the underworld.
Created by Ben Vanvollenhoven, who then recruited Catherine Guirguis and the two started to write music.
