Lady Perchta or Lady Percht is a mythic being/goddess from Continental Germanic and Slavic mythology. A possible etymology for her name is "the radiant one", cf. Old High German beraht "to radiate", "to shine". She is the southern Germanic equivalent of the (northern/central) (Frau) Holle, the basis for the Mother Hulda fairy tale.
