Formed in early 2011 by Evgeny Zhytnyuk and Dmitry Volovnenko, as the first Ukrainian band to play oriental metal.

In 2012, the band was joined by bassist Xander Kamyshin, guitarist Max Khmelevsky and female vocalist Helle Bogdanova, and started rehearsals. Unfortunately, Dmitry decided to pursue his life and career interests outside Parallax and left the band.
