The earliest incarnation of the band was Metal Mike Chlasciak, Tom Kaz and Garry "G-Man" Sullivan. With this lineup, they recorded their debut CD The Scourge, but it was never released. A track named "Trust" from the unreleased CD was featured on the Ball One, Strike Two compilation. Shortly after, Painmuseum was disbanded and Metal Mike resurrected the project with new members later.
