Formerly called Cans, the band changed their name to Oro when Jimmy Reitz and Juan Calleja entered in the band. The band split a year after, in 1983, when Jimmy Reitz went to form part of the band Tigres de Metal. As a tribute, that band changed its name to Tigres de Oro (and later to Tigres to release their debut). Obviously, this band, Oro, is not an earlier incarnation of Tigres.
