Ommadon are named after the villain from the 1982 animated film The Flight of Dragons.

Ommadon have an alias/alter ego caled Bryagh - in the words of band members, "Bryagh is the beast within which Ommadon releases after dark. All recordings are completely live and improvised through the night."
