The group was formed in 1988 by John Rudd, Jean Couture and was back then a hardrock / heavy metal cover band. The name Noslom was a joke at the French band Nomed. Later Christian Houle and Sylvain Garneau joined and completed the five-men lineup. Sylvain composed most of the songs on the first demo.
