The band started out under the name Paranoia, creating computer-based music due to the lack of instruments. The name got changed to Lanz, and the band started playing raw black metal drawing influences from Countess, Burzum (among others). The name changed twice more (Namtillaku, Führer) before changing back to Lanz, where it is today, combining weird underground black metal with various styles.
