The band is named after Jack Kevorkian, who was is known for being one of the first advocates of the "Right to Die" movement. He supported euthanasia and built a suicide machine by which he caused more than 130 patients to die peacefully (by their own request.) He was imprisoned in 1999 for voluntary manslaughter because he literally killed one patient who was unable to commit suicide. ...
