The foundation for Infinit Insanity was laid in winter 1999 when Mahoney and Tobias H. were trying to keep the former's old band Disembowled alive by rehearsing and writing new songs on their own. However, the lack of any instruments besides guitars made this difficult and Tobias had to leave the "band" in spring 2000 due to family reasons.
