Started as a solo project of Eklatanz, then evolved into a full band with the addition of musicians from King Apathy and Agrypnie.
According to Eklatanz the name of the band is an expression formed by “here-”, from the English word “heretic”, and the French syllable “-toir”, being a fictional synonym for “going one's own way”.
