The band was formed in 2001 as "03" (the emergency phone number in Russia). They played covers of Russian and foreign metal bands. When their own material appeared, they decided to change their name (as sounding more punk than metal) to "Heavenhill". Their first performance as Heavenhill was on May 18, 2002.
