Halford was formed by Rob Halford as a return to a more traditional heavy metal style after spending most of the 90s in the more modern and experimental projects Fight and Two (also stylized as 2wo).

Halford rejoined Judas Priest in 2003 and his solo work has since been relegated to being more of a side project.
