Freax was active in Brazil during the '80s, touring with Sepultura and Ratos de Porão and releasing at least one demo tape. They've split up when their guitarist Silvinho died by electrocution on a set of train tracks. About 15 years later, original member Lou Ferriera reformed the band in Florida, recruiting an otherwise completely different lineup, and their style became industrial.
