The band was formed as Rebellion around 1981/82. They changed their name to Equinox (inspired by Sodom) in 1987, and had an 8-year run. After over a decade of silence they reactivated again in 2017.

Also released a song called "Vinter" (Winter) on a Christmas compilation album called "Når Nettene Blir Lange" on Sonet, 1991.
