The band started off as Plague Bearer, which was a solo project of guitarist Kelly Kuciemba. Vocalist Herb Burke, bassist Dan Hodge, and drummer Dave Procopio joined between 1992-93 and became the recording membership of 1993's Bubonic Death demo.
