Cryptic Slaughter has broken up and reformed twice. They broke up just prior to the release of the Stream of Consciousness album. Les Evans subsequently reformed Cryptic Slaughter in 1989 with a new lineup which managed to record the album Speak Your Peace before splitting up again a year later.
