The band was originally formed under the name Pierced Arrow in 1979, before changing name to Beowulf in 1982 and finally Crimson Glory in 1983. Ben Jackson and Dana Burnell were the only recognized Crimson Glory members to feature in the original line-up, which also included Tony Lee Wise on vocals, Bernardo Hernandez on guitars and Glen Barnhardt on bass.
