The band started in 1982 as Steeltower with bassist Manni Jordan, singer Thomas Rettke, guitarists Ingo Millek & Bernd Kaufholz and drummer Thorsten Müller, releasing a sole album in 1984.

The name changed to Carrion in 1987, now without Kaufholz and with Bonny Bilski as the new guitarist. The rest of the lineup remained the same. Shortly after, Millek left and was replaced by Sascha Paeth. ...
