Blutige Nacht is German for "Bloody Night".

In February 2012 Travis, Kirk and Rob officially left Blutige Nacht to start an as yet unnamed death metal project. This pretty much left the group disbanded at the same time. "The band" was left with the two remaining members and was abandoned.

Just before the break-up at the end of 2011 the band self-released the album "Scorn".
