The band name (pronounced [uɾˈʎak]) refers to Aurillac, the band's hometown. It is inspired by the name of the town in the Occitan language, Orlhac.
In 2009, the band contributed to Aspherical Asphyxia's tribute album to Emperor titled Old Crown, New Spawn (Furens Chapter 1: Emperor) with the song "With strength I burn" by Emperor and an original composition: "Le ...
