Alchemist (along with Armoured Angel) are also responsible for creating Australia's annual metal event called Metal for the Brain.

After the band split-up, Adam Agius formed a new band called The Levitation Hex as a spiritual successor to Alchemist.

At least one of their members had also played in the '80s thrash metal band Armageddon.
