In 1982, Juni Hitoe performed at a band battle competition called EastWest, hosted by Yamaha. Though they didn't win, the judges awarded them an "excellent band" prize for their performance. Juni Hitoe's performance of the song "Alone in the Night" appeared on EastWest '82's live album of the same name.
