The band was formerly known as "Puritan Disbelief". They recorded one Demo (Der Fall des Renegaten) under this name, which was never released.

Kromlek was on good terms with Elexorien; they called themselves "the 'Kromlexorien' pact".

Split up in March 2012. Reformed in 2023 to play certain festival dates in celebration of Trollzorn Records's 20th anniversary.
