Tom met Patrik while the latter's then band, DoomDogs, opened for Pentagram, for whom the former was the guitar tech. Once Tom had relocated to Sweden, they got in touch with a view to forming a band. Patrick knew Hans, and Staffan was an old roommate of Tom's.

Tom had not intended to be the band's singer, but merely sang on the demos out of necessity. The band auditioned for singers, but ...
