• Mantas (thrash/black metal from Sacramento, California)
Named after Jeffrey "Mantas" Dunn. Mantas changed their name to Death in late 1984.
They had only one bass player, Dave Tett, who was only featured on the Emotional rehearsal. They remained bassless until they changed their name to Death.
