"Profanum vulgus" means "the common people". The Latin word Profanum originally meant "being in front of a sanctuary".

The black metal influence was reduced and the band decided not to use guitars, bass or any 'typical' metal sound, replacing it with orchestra instruments like the piano and the violin.
