The band name is pronounced slaw-ter ex-stroy-ess. Guitarist Paul Kratky explained it thus: "(...) we were all singing around down in the basement, doing drugs or something, and we were Slaughter and Destroyers, Slaughter and do this, Slaughter and do that, so we came up with the name Slauter Xstroyes instead of Destroyers."
