The band was originally formed in Brianza under the name Killdozer in 1982 by Diego Colombo and Stefano Bullegas. In 1986, Colombo was fired and the band hired Tommy Massara. They later changed name to Extrema and relocated to Milan.
The band was on hiatus between 1996 and 1999.
