Initially Nordgaren was the lead vocalist, but his performance on early recordings (especially "A Darker Shade of Evil") permanently damaged his vocal cords, so Svein Egil Hatlevik took over lead vocals from 1994 onwards.
From 1997 until 1998 Alexander Nordgaren performed as a live rhythm guitarist in Mayhem, and in 1998 he rehearsed with them to become a ...
