Biography
Zakk Wylde started his music career playing in Ozzy Osbourne. He had sent in a tape because a photographer for Zakk's former band, Zyris, said he would pass it on to Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy got the tape, and just passed it as "another Randy Rhoads clone." Later, Ozzy's drummer, Randy Castillo, suggested Zakk as a recruit for Ozzy's vacant guitar position. He was best friends with late Dimebag Darrell, and the Black Label Society song "In This River" is dedicated to his memory.He has a shrine dedicated to Randy Rhoads in his house.
He was one of the guitarists for Steel Dragon in the movie Rock Star (2001).
Zakk Sabbath is a Black Sabbath tribute. They have released "Live in Detroit" and "Vertigo".
