Vince Neil (Vincent Neil Wharton) grew up in Los Angeles in a variety of bad neighbourhoods, and formed a band called Rock Candi in the late 1970s. Later, Tommy Lee would contemplate joining this band as well, though he never would. Nonetheless, he would recognise Vince Neil at a critical moment in the future.
