Steve "Thee Slayer Hippy" Hanford is best known as the drummer of the hardcore punk band Poison Idea, who he played with from 1987 until 1993. He also played in Mayhem and Gift, among others.

In 2008, Hanford was arrested for a string of pharmacy robberies in Portland, Oregon. He was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison. While in prison, he helped write and recorded music with other prisoners ...
