Dark August was a heavy metal band that had been active since the '80s, which Shawn sang for in the early '90s.In the early '00s, Shawn Ames started a solo project calledMorpheous, and recorded what was supposed to be a new album, titled 'The Needle's Eye' - thought it wasn't released. In 2017, he formed Bishop & Thieves in order to re-record and finally release the album.
