Biography
Al Fakir is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, son of a Syrian father and a Swedish mother. He learned to play violin as a child, before studying jazz piano at the Stockholm Adolf Fredrik's Music School and starting to perform solo in various genres, from jazz to pop and dance. He has always been active as a songwriter, although he has also performed as guest singer on several dance/EDM projects.Trivia
Vargas and Lagola, Al Fakir's main project, is more precisely a duo - along with Vincent Pontare, they work as songwriters, producers, guest singers and musicians mainly in the Swedish scene, ranging from pop/dance to jazz and soul music.
