Leslie West is a North American guitarist and singer, well known for being the founding member of the highly influential heavy rock band Mountain in 1969.


He played with the legendary bassist Jack Bruce and his own bandmate Corky Laing in the super-group West, Bruce and Laing since 1972 to 1974. In 2009 Jack's son, Malcom Bruce, joined with Leslie and Corky to form briefly West, Bruce Jr and Laing.

His songs have been covered by Ozzy Osbourne, W.A.S.P., Ministry, Zakk Wylde, among others.

In 2011 his right leg was amputated over the knee due ...
