Dissention was formed in the late '80s/early '90s. They had an extensive interview in Eldritch Assemblage 'zine #2 ('90), in which their musical style is described as an original blend of industrial, classical, progressive, psychedelic and thrash with hints of The Young Gods and Skinny Puppy.
