Biography
A contemporary drum legend, Hoglan started out playing in Dark Angel, but made his name later, with Death, and via his collaboration with Devin Townsend, in several bands/projects.He received his first drum kit when he was 13. He taught himself to play by jamming along to Kiss and Rush records.

Trivia
Was asked to play drums on Testament's Dark Roots of Earth album, when Paul Bostaph could not, due to a "serious injury". He eventually joined the band and is still with them to this day.Appeared in the video of 'The Grand Conjuration' by Opeth as the video shoot was during a tour he was filling for the injured Martin Lopez.
On January 27th, 2012, he filled in for Charlie Benante for Anthrax
