Aries formed in November 1987 in Holguín. Some of their many members over the years also included Gustavo Asencio Quiles, Rodolfo "Fofi" Ricardo, vocalist Amilkar Israel Guerra, guitarist Alexander Peña Ochoa (who also played in Luna Negra), and drummer Alidranad Garcia (also of Cuerpo y Alma).
