In 2004, he was found guilty of attempted rape and several indecent assaults involving his young music students and sentenced to 8 years in prison.Died at Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti in Lugo, Spain, close to A Fonsagrada, a town in the mountains where he was living at the time.
