Biography
Fridén was originally the drummer for the Swedish band Dark Tranquillity, but later became their lead vocalist. He performed on their debut album, but left the band soon after. Two years later he joined In Flames. Coincidentally Mikael Stanne had left In Flames and switched from rhythm guitar to lead vocals in Dark Tranquillity, so the two effectively traded places. He sang on "Self vs. Self" on the album "Immersion", by Australian electronic rock/drum & bass band Pendulum.Passenger was a relatively short-lived collaboration between Fridén and Niclas Engelin. They released one, self-titled, album in 2003, which also featured Patrik J. Sten.
