Compilation that contains (reworked) versions of tracks from the full-length albums, unreleased promo material from 2004, as well as several unreleased, compiled and combined tracks. A 2014 online incarnation of the release was done under the title "De Peel Sessies, Act I Swamp Sessions: The Released Walpurgisnacht Beast (XI Years of Chaos Sourceries & Bog Belief)", which, in turn, contained a different tracklisting, different track versions and different titles compared to what was later released on cassette as "De Peel Sessies - Swamp Sessions" (2015).
The material contains a lot of music borrowed from classical composers, ambient music, video games and soundtracks.
The lyrics for track 12 are a poem by J.R.R. Tolkien.
