All material on this album (except "Falling from Grace") was written and performed live by Vatican in the 80s and early 90s (except "Corruption" and "Opus #9", which were previously only Vince Vatican songs) and several were also played by Vatican members when they were in Assailant and Marquis de Sade), also in the 80s and early 90s. "Di A Heart Attack" is the oldest, dating back to the original Mark St. Stevens-led Vatican in 1985 (correctly spelled "Di", short for Diana, an ex-girlfriend of Vic Gribouski that influenced some of the lyrics, although the label misspelled it on the back of the album). "Di A Heart Attack" remained a live staple throughout the McNasty-fronted era of the band as well. "Running", "Fears Garden", "Corruption" and "Alive to the Grave" were previously recorded in the studio, but not by Vatican, only by the members in other projects. "Corruption" appeared on Vince Vatican's "Disturbing The Peace" EP in 1992, "Alive to The Grave" was a Vatican song played live between 1989 and 1991, and was later featured on Marquis de Sade "Method to Madness" in 1992. "Running" (originally called Runnin' with different lyrics by Jim Buerhle) and "Fears Garden" appeared on Assailant's 1988 self-titled demo before coming to Vatican with Brian McNasty in 1988, and remained Vatican live staples ever since then. "Opus #9" was a Vince Vatican song that was played in Vince's solo band's live shows of the era, but never studio-recorded until now. "Runnin'", co-written by Brian McNasty and Assailant founder Jim Buehrle was also studio recorded twice (with its original lyrics) by Buehrle in Big Risk, of which Vince Vatican was also later a member (The "g" was only added officially in 2017).
