Despite this release's long length, it is considered by the band as an EP, not a full-length.
Re-released in 2010 by Dying Art with a slightly different tracklist: The first 6 tracks were unchanged; the last 4 live tracks were removed, and a cover of Absurd's "The Gates of Heaven" was added.
The title "伢兹" is confusing because there is no such word in Chinese. In an interview with Extreme Music Magazine, Spetre, the band's sole member, said that Yazi was a small village in Yunnan Province and this album was dedicated to the horrible things that happened there. Some sources claim these stories were related to mysterious witchcraft of Miao People.
Recording information:
The live part (track 7 - 10) was recorded in Wuhan, 2003/06/28.
