Original cassette demo of much of the material that would later make up the album of the same name. The album however includes 2 live songs not included on the original tape.

3 different versions are known of the original cassette version.
Standard / Primary version (this) - Some hand-colored (not painted) covers with plain tapes and handwritten labels, each used to make some printed copies (done by the band on self-service copy machines) of those same hand-colored ones. Several differences in color and placement of color exist between the numerous different variations created by this process.
Third version - Black and white (uncolored) new professionally printed covers, and self-duplicated tapes that have off-white printed labels on both sides. Despite the labels different track layout (5 songs on B-side) the tapes actually have the same track layout as the previous versions (3 songs on the B-side).
Early Mistake version - Hand-colored covers with plain tapes and hand-written labels. Easily distinguished by the pink ink accidentally spread across the artwork. The only copies with single sided covers. These copies were given away for free.

Another later version is on plain tapes with a black and white artwork that would be used again soon after, on the CD version.
First pressing CD with extensive color artwork, limited to 1000 copies (last copy sold in January, 2005).

"The Abide of the Undead Knights" previously appeared as the keyboard intro to the Thorns very first song ever released, the live Carrion Lord re-recording "Invictus" on the "Seventh Key Creations Compilation: Volume One".

Recording information:

Recorded on eight tracks (Tascam) at Polaris Recording Studios in Louisville, KY, on December 28th and 29th, 1993.
