The band was called Joe Gizmo and the Spudmonsters at this point.

Original First pressing copies released on white paper covers. The first press ones are released on black tapes and white printed labels. Includes single-sided fold-out inlay with credits, lineup, info and all lyrics spread out among 7 panels of additional art. Later re-issued in late 1988 with completely different tapes, and altered layout, etc.

All music and lyrics by Joe Gizmo & The Spudmonsters except lyrics to "On the Edge of Lunacy" by the Spudmonster's first bassist Ian Shipley (Breaker, ex-Concussion).

Since the 90's Joe Gizmo has disavowed the homophobic nature of the lyrics to "Safe Past Franklin", although most of the lyrics were meant as a humorous jab at a specific area of his hometown, Lakewood, he has stated that he sees those lyrics (especially one particular part) as being not representative of his outlook/beliefs since soon after the songs release.
