Distributed by RED.
Printed in Canada.

All music by The Gathering.
All lyrics by Anneke van Giersbergen.
Produced by The Gathering as well.

The album is dedicated to Harold Gloudemans, a friend of the band who passed away on 13.08.1994.

The spoken samples on track 1 have been taken from the 1960 film "The Time Machine".

The monologue at the end of track 7 is from a recorded 1968 interview of J.R. Tolkien quoting Simone de Beauvoir, a French philosopher and writer: "There is no such thing as a natural death. Nothing that happens to Man is ever natural, since his presence calls the whole world into question. All men must die, but for every man his death is an accident. And even if he knows it and consents to it, an unjustifiable violation". "Well, you may agree with the words or not, but those are the keyspring of The Lord of the Rings".
