Trivia:
• The symbol ॐ on the album cover is the Indian symbol called Om, but this album is commonly referred to as "3" both in reference to the similarity between Om and the numeral '3' and that this is Soulfly's third studio album.
• Track 9, "9-11-01" is a minute of silence in tribute to the victims of the September 11th, 2001 terrorism attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Flight 93 that crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
• "Maracatu" and "Stomp" were recorded and were tentatively included as 8th and 9th tracks respectively, but Roadrunner removed these from final track listing due to offensiveness of the lyrics to music culture in Brazil. "Maracatu" would've speak about the performance genre of the same name in Brazil, while "Stomp" would've speak about the heaviness of maracatu music. Meanwhile, the proposal of the song "Africa" to be included on the album was cancelled by Max.
