Rotterdam

A version of the demo surfaced on the internet in the early 2000s with the following tracklist and cover art from an unknown source. All original copies of the demo compilation had typewritten or handwritten covers. This digital version is significantly lower quality then the original recording and the original tapes sold by the band (and missing 1 track). It also includes a short clip superimposed over the very end of "Crown of Thorns" that is of one of the hosts of the (then-Cleveland-based) Radio station Z-Rock saying "Thats music from Rotterdam!". This version of the song was recorded off of a Z-Rock Radio Broadcast, but the song, as it appears on the original tapes released by the band, however did not include this clip and were taken directly from the master, which was then copied to tape, played on the radio, and recorded, again from the radio, resulting in that second copy. Hence, the original is also better quality.

Recording information:

Tracks 1 recorded in 1987 by the band on a 4-Track recorder. Produced by Rotterdam.
Tracks 3 and 4 recorded in 1986 at TKO Studios, recorded and engineered by Ed Salzgeber, Produced by Rotterdam.
Tracks 2 and 5 recorded at Beachwood Studios In Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. Auburn records funded the recordings since "Crowns of Thorns" was originally supposed to appear on the "Heavy Artillery" compilation.
