Studio sessions for "The Marsh Chapel Experiment" took place in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The EP was originally set to be released as a full-length album in 2012, but due to a stolen laptop that contained the nine recorded and mastered songs, only five of the songs were salvaged from the loss through the chance that they had been previously uploaded online or sent through e-mails. This is the only Psilocybin release where the band's sound changed entirely to a more refined Stoner/Doom/Sludge Metal sound with brand new members. This era and line-up of the band lasted three years, from 2010 until early 2013, before the band split and was put on hold until late 2017. Years after the recording sessions, Nightstrike Records finally released "The Marsh Chapel Experiment" in November 2018 with a limited run of 50 CDs. The album is also available on digital formats such as Spotify, Bandamp, and YouTube.

Recording information:

Recorded at the Pacific Audio Visual Institute in Vancouver, Canada between 2011 and 2012 by Juraj Pisko and Leonardo Moretto. Mastered by Juraj Pisko.
